On Friday afternoon (4th April), three members of the DELP Methodology team (Ildikó Lázár, Katalin Hubai and Frank Prescott) hosted 29 mentor teachers from ELTE practice schools and several other Budapest schools where our students
do their long practicums. We started with some very enjoyable warmer activities expertly handled by Margit Szesztay, and then spent the rest of the afternoon looking at the structure of the new 5-year OTAK training and hearing about the group teaching practice which has been running for the first time in ELTE practice schools this semester. There was also a stimulating brainstorming and discussion session on several issues which the mentors themselves raised when they signed up for the afternoon. All in all, this was a very enjoyable and useful afternoon and we look forward to hosting our next mentor event.
