Open day 2025

On 17 January we had an open day for prospective trainee teachers. We had inspiring discussions on gamification and materials design. In the first session held by our colleagues, Ildikó Lázár and Márta Barbarics, the participants focused on gamification and explored the possibilities gamification has in the EFL classroom. The session aimed to show how we can make language learning more fun.

The second session held by Anna Pereszlényi and Katalin Hubai focused on creative materials design. The participants explored various materials that can be used in an English language classroom. After discussing EFL materials and the possibilities EFL teachers have in the classroom, a text was designed with the help of the participants and AI, then the participants designed their very own tasks based on the text.

After both sessions a short introduction to the teacher training programme was held by the tutors. Hope to see many of our visiting students in September!
