Thesis information for OTAK students (pdf)
To see topics for OTAK and MA in ELT theses offered by DELP staff, please go to the Staff details page, where the tutors' thesis topics are listed.
If you are planning to submit a thesis in English, you need to: 1 Think of a topic – possible topics and find a supervisor. If your thesis is directly teaching related, look for a supervisor from DELP or DEAL. If it’s more closely related to literature or language study, look for a supervisor from DES, DAS, or DELG. If your thesis is not directly teaching related, it still needs to include a chapter that discusses teaching aspects and implications. 2 If your supervisor is from DELP or DEAL, you will need to hand in a Thesis Proposal to your supervisor. Make sure to revise and improve it based on your supervisor's advice. 3 The proposal has to be submitted electronically on Neptun, where they will have to be approved of by the supervisor and also by Dr. Margit Szesztay, who is in charge of OTAK theses. If the proposal does not reflect the topic and approach of the thesis appropriately or does not meet the requirements in any way, it may also be rejected and improvements may be requested. NB: Please observe the deadlines indicated on the Notice Board.
