The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) was set up in Brussels in 1992 as a non-profit making organisation, to bring together advertising self-regulatory bodies across Europe. Its main aims are to promote and support advertising self-regulation in Europe, to coordinate the handling of cross-border complaints and to provide information and research on advertising self-regulation.

The Alliance currently has 25 members from 22 countries. The current country membership is listed below (contact details can be found at the back of the publication): Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, New Zealand*, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa*, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

Countries marked with asterisk (*) are corresponding members.
